I am writing this gazing out of the window of the Swiss Air plane. We are 8831 meters above sea level and currently gliding at a speed of 522 mph. There is only 392 miles to go until we touchdown in Geneva, Switzerland! I’m getting quite excited now – although we’re not heading to Switzerland, like normal, we’re going on to Chamonix, France! 🇫🇷
It will be my first time ever in France, and I am soooooooo excited! Not only can I practise my French (Please do not think I’m weird – one of my aspirations is to speak another language fluently), I will have visited another country in the world! 🌎 As I briefly mentioned in my first blog post, I want to travel the world, so this is a perfect opportunity to explore another culture!
Things I currently think of when I think of France:
– Pain au chocolats and croissants
– The Eiffel Tower – I would LOVE to go to Paris one day & visit le Tour Eiffel.
– Lots of Patisseries & Bakeries and the smell of warm baked bread!
– People wearing bérets!
Sorry that these views are quite stereotypical- let me off this time – I’ve never been to France before!! 😂 Anyway, I’ve got my fingers crossed that these views will soon change as I embark on my mini adventure 😃.
Ooooh! We’re now approaching landing – exiting! 3…. 2…. 1…. Touchdown 🛩! I am officially in Switzerland 🇨🇭- oh yeah!
Sorry – I am super excited- too excited in fact! From Geneva we are taking a minibus to Chamonix, which I am on now, and I am officially in France 😄😄😄. Sorry – too excited still…
I can’t to see what Chamonix has to offer – I’ll try to update my blog as regularly as I can dependant on what I get up to! Thank you once again for visiting my blog – I can’t put it into words how much it means to me in these early days!
Lots of love,
