Wednesday was yet another exciting day here in Chamonix! Luckily, I didn’t have to get up quite so early this morning, and I was so relieved to have a bit of a lie in. I am definitely getting used to the French ways now, and I feel as if my French has improved A LOT!
One of my favourite things here in France is to go to the bakery every morning to buy our breakfast! Although this is a little unhealthy, I absolutely love the fresh French croissants and pain au chocolats, and I have realised that, remarkably, I prefer the croissants to the pain au chocolats!
So today we went on another set of cable cars starting at Les Praz, just outside of Chamonix. They were my favourite we’ve been on yet as (although this may sound a little weird), the second part was actually a ski lift!! 😂 I’d never been on a ski lift before today, so I was excited to try it out for the first time!
Once we’d taken the cable car up to Flégère, I embarked on my mission to go on a ski lift! It was crazy how much I loved it, although at first I was rather apprehensive as it felt like you could fall off at any point! The ski lift takes you up to L’Index at 2396 meters, and the views were superb!
I even managed to get a picture of the ski lift with Mont Blanc in the background as the sky’s were so clear (on previous days it had been too hazy for a good photo)!
Have you ever been on a ski lift before? Have you ever been to Flégère? If so, comment down below!
I would like to finish with a quote:
‘Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing’ – Benjamin Franklin.
Now I know this has not been my most interesting blog post, but I hope you’ll continue to follow Autumn’s Angle in the future; I assure you I have lots more things to say and experiences to share!
Lots of love for now,
