Dear Readers, 🍁
As Autumn is now well and truly upon us, I thought that I’d make today’s post Autumn-themed. I’ve really noticed that Autumn is here in the UK in the past week or so; it’s become a lot cooler and the colours surrounding me are amazing! There’s something so comforting about the season of Autumn; the night’s drawing in, the warmth of an open fire and the sense of new beginnings. Don’t you agree? I’ve always loved the season of Autumn; perhaps it is because I’m named after it and I feel almost inclined to love it, or perhaps it is because I love the colours and ‘feel’ of Autumn. (I hope I don’t sound pathetic here 😬 ) So, I decided I would share my top 5 favourite ways to relax in this gorgeous season of Autumn.
- Put your feet up in front of a fire.
This is always a win win situation – not only does the fire help you to warm up, but it also helps you to relax as well. I love feeling the warmth of the fire on my toes especially after a cold day, and sometimes I can’t even resist closing my eyes for a minute or two! Relaxing in front of a fire is also a great way to help your body relax before you go to bed, it certainly makes me feel sleepy. 💤
2. Treat yourself to a hot-chocolate.
Again, this is a great addition to an Autumn or Winter’s evening, whether it is in front of a fire or snuggled up in bed. Sometimes, I find a good hot-choclate is the way to wake up in the mornings on the weekend, especially if there’s been a frost outside overnight! For an extra special treat, you could even add some toppings such as whipped cream, a flake or anything else you prefer! Mmm… 😋
3. Go for a walk. 💚
Now, at first you might think this one is a little strange, but I absolutely love the great outdoors, fresh air & wind blowing in your face at anytime of year. Going for a walk can be a great way to help yourself relax – an opportunity for you to help clear your mind and let it wonder without worrying about what else is going on online, etc. Plus, you’re exercising at the same time! Make sure you wrap up warm before you set off though, as you don’t want to catch a cold whilst you’re out.
4. Bullet journal, scrapbook or blog (or anything else similar!)
If the weather outside isn’t great, then you’ll probably want to put off that walk! Another great way of clearing your mind and relaxing is to scrapbook, journal, bullet journal or do anything similar. This way you are able to document what you’ve been getting up to and think about what’s bothering you or simply just what’s on your mind. I often feel very refreshed after doing any activity like this, even if it’s just for 5 minutes! 👍
5. Spend quality time with your family, or your ‘nearest & dearest’.
Technically, you could do this at any time of year, but for me, Autumn is the season to do so, as it is after the Summer Holidays and before the busy Christmas period. You can often ‘forget’ about your family during the hectic back-to-school time, and possibly under appreciate what they do for you, so spending quality time together at the weekend is a great way to relax and enjoy yourself, whilst creating memories with those that you are closest to.
Anyway, I hope that this post is beneficial to you, and that you liked this post’s style/ format – would you like to see similar posts in the future?

Have you noticed Autumn’s Angle’s new layout? So far, I’m lovin’ it! 😂 I know that I haven’t necessarily been happy with the layout recently, so I just had to change it again… If all goes well, this is going to be the finalised new layout of Autumn’s Angle! I hope you like it just as much as me – what do you think?! Please do let me know in the comments section below!
