Hey y’all! How are you doing? Hope your weekend was great! 😊 Mine was BLISS – I basically did absolutely nothing on Sunday & it was so good to finally relax after a very busy week!
Firstly, I must say a massive
To every single one of you that has sent in your support to me after my post, To My Friends. Seriously, you do not know how much better it made me feel to know that I’m not alone & that really it is just a part of life. Things seem to be getting better for me, but they’re still not perfect *sniffs* 😢.
I often find that I never quite have enough opportunities to say thank you to everyone that reads my lil’ blog, so please always bear it in mind that I am SO grateful for all your support. 💞
Onwards with the post people!
Today I want to talk about family appreciation. I feel this is an extremely important topic, especially for teens/ YA’s in the 21st century. With the increasingly popular world online, in the form of social media in particular, I feel that people are beginning to forget those that we should appreciate most.
Family will always be there for you. Through the ups and downs, your family will almost always be behind you. Recently, it has become very apparent to me that you can’t always trust your friends & the fact that my family has been there for me in these difficult times. 💗 I am so fortunate to have literally the best family in the whole, entire world & I am internally grateful for that. *sorry mom for all the times I’ve shouted at you*
Every one of us is guilty of this crime, but one of the best parts of being in a family is that a family forgives. They forgive you countless amounts of times, even for the silliest little things. It is important to remember this, but don’t use this to your advantage: occasionally it can get too much. Don’t be the one to shatter your family network.
These special people in your lives are worth so much more than what we can appreciate them for; sadly sometimes we find this out too late. Appreciate your family a little bit more each day; next time don’t put off calling your Grandma for a quick chat as you ‘need’ to do something online. It will be worth it in the long run, honest. 😊 Creating fond memories with those you are nearest to is the best thing in the world – you will treasure these special memories forever.
The message behind today’s snippet is to appreciate what your family do for you on a daily basis. Don’t put social media or your social life in front of your family, as once people are gone… They’re gone, and you will only have those treasured memories left. Don’t make yourself live with ‘what if’s’ & regrets, it will be worth a lot more of your worries and time. Guilt is the worst emotion to move on from and remove from your life.
Love the spirit of being part of a family, we are so fortunate to surround ourselves with people we can trust and love on a daily basis. Appreciate the things that they do for you, they give up so many hours of their days. Give them back what they deserve, especially as we near the festive period, which can be a very lonely time for some. Smile, and light up their day, everyday. Be the light in their darkness.
Lots of love,
(Hope you found this both inspiring & interesting. Let me know what you thought in the comments below. Do you take your family for granted? Do you wish you spent less time online & more time with those you love most? Will you change the amount of time you save for your family? Autumn, x)
