Dear Readers,

Hello! *waves from behind screen* Gosh, the last time we spoke was 2018, which is a bit bizarre, I must admit! I wish you all a Happy New Year 🎉 & hope that your year is a lovely one!

So, what’s new? Well, I figure about now you’re going to be realising that yes, I’ve finally been able to upgrade Autumn’s Angle, et Voilà!

Welcome to autumnsangle.co.uk!

I haven’t talked very much about this, but I agreed with myself that if I got to 100 followers by Christmas, then I could get Autumn’s Angle upgraded almost as a present to myself – so here we are! 💞 I guess I’d been thinking to upgrade my lil’ blog for a while, and honestly I was unsure whether to actually go through with it until I pressed the upgrade button last night. My main worry was that Autumn’s Angle isn’t ‘big’ enough yet, but to me, it felt like the right time to upgrade, so no regrets here! So far, it’s been a great decision: I’m in love with the new design & I hope you’re loving it too!

So, onwards with the rest of the post!

Today I thought that it is only fitting to post a few of my New Year’s Resolutions. Now, I seriously am not very good at keeping resolutions for the whole year at all, so we’ll see how far I get… Hopefully things will be slightly different this year!

Here they are, my New Year’s Resolutions:

+ Create (& stick to) a Blogging Schedule

Have you noticed that it is nearly always random as to when I post? I certainly have… *trails off* So, as Autumn’s Angle has a new look, there shall hopefully be a new posting schedule too, but who knows how it’ll go (I promise I’ll try for you! 😂). It’s also one thing to create a schedule, but to actually stick to it?… Well, that’ll be the hardest part!

+ Bullet Journal for a Year

This is another one that could either go really well, or be a complete fail! I got (well, accidentally got) a bullet journal for Christmas from my parents and so far I really am enjoying creating my own monthly/ weekly layouts! ✨( I asked for my bullet journal as I love the design / front cover, but at the time I didn’t realise that it was not a normal lined notebook! It was a good surprise though!). The only problem will be trying to keep up with it once everything gets BUSY again. *sighs* Why can’t it be Christmas/ New Year all the time?

+ Help around the House more

Don’t you just hate getting older sometimes? I’ve known for a long time that I need to do more than just the basic jobs I do around my house to make it easier for my parents and to become more independent, but I hate to say I haven’t put it into practise yet (the word yet is key!). So, bring on 2019 and a lot more chores!

+ Always be KIND!

I wouldn’t say I’m not a nice person, but sometimes I really shouldn’t tease my little brother, and I know it. I just need to always be kind to everyone all the time. No pressure then… 😬

+ Go to Dubai & not die

I’ve never been out of the EU, or on a long-haul flight before but am braving going on a school trip to Dubai this year. I’m soooo nervous for it (even though it’s ages away…), so basically I just want to go and, put simply, not die! It will be an amazing experience!

+ Talk to more People at School

You may or may not know that I’ve recently been in an awkward place with my friends, and I want to make it like old times again. I also want to branch out a little as well, and talk to more people as it will help if things get a bit sticky with them again, plus it’s nice to have different people to talk to from time to time! 😊 This will also help me in a year’s time when I have to decide where I want to go for 6th form.

+ Limit my screen time & eat less chocolate

Aren’t these things we all want to do? I fall into this category too, but I think I am generally quite good at not eating too much chocolate/ not spending too long on my screen. I can certainly improve though, and 2019 will be the year I limit these things! 😂

So there they are, my New Year’s Resolutions! Wow… I hope I can manage a couple of them – that would be really great & I’d be quite proud of myself, I will admit!

What are your New Year’s Resolutions? Do you have any of the same resolutions as me? Do you like autumnsangle.co.uk? Do you like the new design?

See you all soon (hopefully),

Hi! I'm Autumn, an avid reader, animal lover and keen photographer that wants to travel the world! I’m probably not your average teen, I’m not a firm believer in makeup and I don’t own any social media accounts. I love stationary and all things paperchase, as well as baking yummy little treats! I've wanted to have my own blog for years, so Autumn’s Angle is a dream come true! I hope you follow Autumn’s Angle and enjoy scrolling through my blog. 😊 Lots of love, Autumn x

  1. Ooo, love your resolutions Autumn! 💛 Sorry, quick question, you know when you upgraded is that where you have to pay? Sorry, just wanted to know as I will probably do that when (hopefully) my blog becomes more successful 😊 My mum is always moaning me to reduce my screen time, and do more chores around the house 😆 *mentally adds to “reduce screen time” to list* 😂 I really want to start bullet journaling! 💛 I’d love to see some of the pics of your designs 😊 I think I’m going to ask for a bullet journal for my B-Day 🎉 Heh, we could be here for a long time 😂
Hopefully these resolutions work out for you! 💛

    1. Yep, that’s when I paid for it! (It’s actually quite a quick process! 😂) I’m sure your blog’ll become more successful Amber! 🌟 I might post some pictures of my bullet journal, but equally, I might not! 😂 It depends on how bad it ends up looking! Yessss, you should definitely get one! I think they’re great fun! ✨ Thanks for the lovely comment, Autumn x

  3. I just read your About Me page and I wanted to say that I also own no social media accounts! It’s always surprising to find someone else who doesn’t! Just curious, do you have none by choice or do your parents not allow it?

    1. It’s by my own choice, so if I wanted it then my parents would allow me to have it! You? (And high five on having no social media!🖐 it’s good to find someone else that doesn’t, it’s rare!) Autumn x

      1. That’s cool too! When I was younger, they didn’t let me either, but after they said I could get it, I just didn’t. I think I’d got used to having no social media, and seeing people upset by it put me off getting it, so here I am! 😂💞 It’s good you appreciate your parents decision as they’re only trying to protect you, I think at first I was like ‘why?’, but I definitely grew to be thankful they wouldn’t let me have it, & I don’t want it anymore! 🌟 (I hope I didn’t repeat myself there! 😂) Autumn x

  4. You mentioned you’re not sure if your blog is “big enough” for an upgrade. I’ve wondered this myself, even after gaining 2,000 followers. I think this type of thinking comes from comparing our blogs to other people’s blog which ultimately is not healthy for our growth. It’s something I struggle with myself but also a good reminder to meet our own goals instead of anyone else’s.

    1. You’re definitely right! 🌟Thank you for the advice – I’m definitely going to take it on board in the future. I also think it comes from not necessarily setting myself enough goals too (as in if I’ve completed all my goals, then it’s a bit like ‘what’s next?’ if you get what I mean!) 💞 Thanks for the lovely comment! Autumn x

    1. Thank you very much! ✨Those are all great resolutions too, thank you for sharing! 💙 I especially like ‘be a good example’, as this can be hard sometimes, but it is so important to get right! Thanks for commenting, it’s much appreciated 😊, Autumn x
