Dear Readers,

So, so far I’m sticking to my blogging schedule. Kind of, kind of not. *trails off* I mean, this post is late on, isn’t it! Maybe I’ll post on Monday’s & Thursday’s from now on, instead of Sunday & Thursday – I guess we’ll soon find out.

Anyway, today I’m going to be talking about my ‘Fresh start’. I know – please forgive me, I know what it’s like to see thousands of ‘2019 goals’ type of posts in the Reader (which I seriously need to catch up on, by the way – don’t be offended if I haven’t looked at your latest posts! πŸ’ž), and just sigh because of the sheer number of posts being posted everyday (is it just me? It’s just me, isn’t it…).

This will hopefully be the last ‘2019 goals’ themed post, but please enjoy.

For me, this post holds a certain special meaning about the direction my life is going to go, and most of all, it fills me with hope. It means a lot that you have read this far already. 😊

I wish for us all to have a fresh start.

It’s a new year; it’s time for reflections, new goals & aspirations, new experiences (both the good and bad) and undoubtedly change. I’m pretty sure that we all have changed and grown as individuals compared to this time last year. Inevitably, it’s going to happen. We don’t know what’s around the corner, what God or whatever or whoever you believe in has in store for us. We can’t see into the future (although I do know some people that would love to be able to). We just have to accept & try to manage whatever gets thrown our way.

My Fresh Start:

I left 2018 in a very bright, happy place, but I also ended 2018 in a lonely place in terms of my friendships. Things had been bad with my friends for a while, and I struggled to see an end to it, or a place for those friendships to heal. This year, however, I’m hoping for a Fresh Start. I am hoping that I shall meet a few new people that will bring joy to my life, and the lives of those around me. I’m hoping I will be able to once and for all amend my previous friendships or say a tough (or perhaps not so tough) goodbye to people that no longer support me, my morals & my judgements. It would be great to become close to a few of the people that I was originally really good friends with again. Gosh, I hate being weary of people, it’s too much effort even though I’m only being weary to try & protect myself.

I’m also hoping for a Fresh Start with my love for the school I am currently attending. It truly is a good, ‘solid’ school, but I guess I fell out of love with it when things with my friends got bad. There was no-one I felt I could tell or trust to spill out my emotions on a particularly bad day. I guess I felt alone: and sometimes it’s not good to feel alone, especially in an environment such as your school. And the teachers, ooh, please don’t get me started on them! πŸ˜‚ They definitely weren’t great throughout this! *stopping before I say too much*

Anyway, to fall back in love with my school & it’s environment would be GREAT. Seriously, you’ve no idea how much it would mean to me to not only love my precious education, but to love the environment it’s given to me in.

And finally, I’m looking for a Fresh Start with my health. I know this is a very bold thing to say, but I always seem to be tired (I know school is partly to blame), and the truth is it’s not good for me. Even throughout the Christmas break, I was still pretty tired πŸ’€ . I’m definitely going to try & maximise the time I spend asleep in bed! πŸ˜‚

On top of this, I want to become more fit & exercise more on a regular basis. I mean, I can’t keep eating chocolate & not exercising much… I’m pretty good at eating my fruit and veg, so hopefully the next few steps will get me on the road to even better health!

So that’s that! There are my 3 main ideas for a Fresh Start in 2019. I’m not saying I’m going to magically transform overnight into some amazing being that can do everything perfectly (where am I going with this?), but I would love to improve just a little bit to bring more joy & happiness to my life. It’s so nice to look back at some of your good memories from the previous year and just feel happiness, isn’t it? This is what I want 2019 to be about for me: happiness (partly due to my Fresh Start).

Do you want a Fresh Start for 2019? What do you want your Fresh Start to include? Do you have any particular ‘Fresh Start’ goals for 2019? What do you want your 2019 to look like?

I hope you all achieve your Fresh Start.

  2. This is a great post. I feel like Fresh Starts are good to have for a new year. Fresh start with school, family, anything. It was awesome seeing what you wanted a fresh start with. I understand about friend troubles. I used to be in a trio but one left us, but I feel like it was better off this way. So I totally understand where you’re coming from, I’ve been through some of it too. Hope I can help! ❀

  3. Hun, I’m sure your school friends will realise what a supportive, loyal friend you are! πŸ’› Because if you are like you are on your blog, then I’m surprised people are begging to be your friend ✨ Earlier this year, something really bad happened to me, that I really struggles to get through, but you know, what got me through it was my friends. My bestie was always messaging me asking how I was, she really cared about me, so if you even want to talk, I’m here ✨ Anyways, enough of that depressing stuff, I loved reading your goals! πŸ’› I read the WHOLE post (usually I skim read some people’s posts as I literally have NO time to read word-to-word, but hey, I actually managed! πŸ˜‚) Anyways, I just wanna say are Goals are pretty similar. I need to get fitter, eat more healthy and try get more sleep 😴 I’m tired ALL the time, and my mum is always forcing vitamins down me because I have a terrible immune system, so I really struggle, to well, not feel tired if that makes sense…?! Anyways, I always seem to write SUPER LONG comments on your post, I guess it’s cuz I like your posts so much πŸ’› (I really need to write shorter comments *shakes head in disappointment at self*
Like I said, you’ll come through this at the other side even stronger 🌟

I’m also really glad that your friends helped you get through your struggles last year, that’s kind of the closeness I’m aiming for again with my friends. πŸ’™ And, thank you so much, it’s really nice to know that you’re there for me & supporting me 😊. It truly means means a lot Amber!
I’m glad you read the whole post too πŸ˜‚! (I totally get what you mean, I kinda skim some people’s posts when I don’t necessarily have the time to read it all – (don’t worry, not yours though, I love your writing style! ✨)). I’m the same too, I literally always feel tired especially from school in term time 😒.
Don’t worry about the long comments, sorry for not replying sooner, it’s been pretty busy for me this week at school πŸ˜‚ (why do teachers love to test us all the time?)!
Thank you once again, your comment means a LOT ❀️! Autumn x

  5. Wonderful goals, I feel as though although each year is a fresh start, we shouldn’t wait until the 1st of January just to make a change, tomorrow is a new day and we can start afresh from then. Great post! xx
